Sausage Making Courses
Bangers! Snags! Sausages! Who doesn't love 'em?! We make and sell tens of thousands of sausages every year, made to order, produced from well-loved porkers living here in Gorstage, Cheshire and we'd like to share some of our knowledge with you!
Our sausage making courses start with an introduction to our smallholding so you understand how our pork is reared. You will then sample various sausage flavours and we will discuss all your sausage making options before you get hands on and start to make your own! You'll go home with a couple of kilos of your own hand made sausages to wow your friends and family with, as well as the skills to make your own in the future!
This is a fun, hands-on course for a maximum of 5 people. It costs £75 per person for a 3 hour course. Contact us for dates of our courses: we can send vouchers if you're gifting this skill!
Smallholder Courses
Have you ever fancied yourself as a smallholder? Do you yearn to learn more about keeping livestock before you take the plunge? Or do you just want to know what goes into starting a smallholding whilst you dream about a future life outdoors?
We will cover all the legal requirements before talking about your smallholding options - livestock, horticulture, growing vegetables. You will get some hands on experience of sheep handling as well as pig management and we will talk about what to do with the fruits of your labour.
This is a chance to learn about smallholding in an informal setting. The course will run for approximately 3 hours and will include light refreshments and lots of chat! £75 per person. £140 for two people booking together.
